Design Trends We're Loving Right Now

2 min read

Trends come and go, but the best ones are rooted in how we actually want to feel at home: warm, calm, and cared for. Here's where our design eye is right now.

A recent Avenna project

Warm neutrals over cool grays

The all-gray era is giving way to softer, warmer palettes, oat, mushroom, camel, and clay. These tones make a room feel inviting rather than sterile, and they age far more gracefully. We layer them with natural textures to keep things from feeling flat.

Natural materials with a story

Oak, stone, plaster, and unlacquered brass bring depth that no laminate can fake. They patina beautifully, gaining character with use. A home built from honest materials feels grounded, the kind of place that only gets better with time.

Quiet kitchens

We're loving kitchens that feel like rooms, not just workspaces, furniture-style islands, integrated appliances, warm wood and stone, and lighting chosen for mood as much as function. The goal is a space you want to linger in long after dinner.

Good design isn't about being current. It's about being timeless, and a little bit personal.

Arches and softened lines

A gentle arched doorway, a curved sofa, a rounded vanity, these soft gestures make a home feel more human. Used sparingly, they add warmth and elegance without tipping into trendiness.

Rooms with restraint

The most beautiful spaces we design aren't the most decorated, they're the most considered. A few meaningful pieces, room to breathe, and light treated as a material. Restraint is the luxury that never goes out of style.
